22/09/2019: While cleaning the nose cone this morning I spotted that one of the indicators was held together with insulation tape. Not unusual for a car of this type I suspect but an easy fix.
I had a quick look at what the problem was (perished rubber mount) and then ‘fixed’ it again with some heavy duty tape. This one can wait to the winter to fix but I think that I have already found the parts I need. Just need to check if they are LED or not.
21/02/2021: Finally ordered some replacement LED indicators which come with the resistors required to have the correct blink rate. They have bullet connectors so I’ll need to do a little bit of rewiring. If I’m honest the amount of wiring between the loom and the light was a little on the tight side for getting the nose cone on and off easily. I’ll probably add a little bit more in.
Checking out the date on the post the tape ‘solution’ was still goin strong over a year on! 🙂
